We understand that market spontaneity is much more efficient than centralized planning. Therefore, within each of the companies we try to replicate mechanisms and incentives based on the functioning of the market. This translates into the following managing principles:
AUTONOMY
Some processes and principles, such as pricing, shop layout and appearance, and negotiation with suppliers, are centralized. However, all other decisions are left to managers, from staffing levels and inventory to local advertising, cash management and human resource processes.
VERIFICATION
We trust but verify. We leave a lot of leeway to business unit managers but, at the same time, we ask for timely and accurate information.
MERITOCRACY
From lower management positions upwards, 20-30% of the salary is variable, focused on results. Our human talent is success-oriented, committed and constantly growing.
